Summary

This position will work to increase the acquisition of memberships and member awareness concerning Credit Union products and services. Including conducting market research; analyzes factors such as: pricing, distribution, and product performance. The selected candidate will also support the development and distribution of marketing and sales materials. Assists in the production of advertising, marketing brochures, sales kits or other promotional materials. Provides statistical reports and recommendations to management and assists with the development plans for marketing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Works with Marketing Team to create, develop and complete PFCU advertising campaigns (including television, radio, newspaper, digital, direct mail, Tips & Tales newsletter, statement messaging, etc.) consistent with PFCU's brand and image. Gather information to assist in writing copy for brochures, ads, direct mail, and other campaign information, as necessary. Assist in the market research and makes recommendations for product/service modifications or improvements. You will also represent the Credit Union, promote the Credit Union to the community, employees, and work with sponsors to maintain positive relationships.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience - One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education - (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills - Knowledge of computer programs including marketing and social media websites. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations. Maintains confidentiality related to Credit Union operations and work-related information. Must have effective communication and teamwork skills.

Physical requirements - Must be able to lift 50 pounds of marketing products and items ordered from outside vendors.

Availability - Must be willing to attend events at various locations. Must have reliable transportation available on-demand to help aid with Marketing and CU errands and travel to and from branches or events which may occur before, during, or after normal work hours.

Travel

Minimal travel may be required to other branches occasionally.
